About the Artist

I was born in 1987 in northern Finland. My mom says I've been drawing since I was two. My first drawings were very detailed pictures of surrounding nature and my favorite fairy tales. I learned to draw by copying pictures from Disney magazines and Richard Scarry's books.

During my teenage years I discovered the world of Fantasy Art. I fell in love with artworks by Linda Ravenscroft and Selina Fenech. Also classic fairy tale illustrators such Arthur Rackham and John Bauer. Fantasy art and fairy tale illustrations are still a great source of inspiration for me.

At the moment I live in the UK and study children book illustration.
I've kept numerous solo and group art exhibitions in Finland and abroad.

Random facts about me:

I'm a huge mythology and Folklore enthusiastic.
I collect fairy tales and folklore stories around the world and often get inspired by them.

I'm very passionate about environmental issues, human rights and animal rights.

My hobbies include playing with poi, playing Kantele (Finnish harp-like instrument), Disney animations (especially 2D films and their concept art), travelling and playing with my cat.
